When you take a look at the different baseball prospects lists that are out there, you see a lot of similarity but also a great deal of disparity in their rankings. The top 10 players are usually very similar but as you get down past 75 there is real variety. This is due to the fact that opinion prevails in these rankings. What we have done at MLBscoop.com is take a look at the major prospect ranking sources. We took a look at their rankings and we averaged them out. When a player didn’t rank on a list, we simply added 25 to the end of the list and make that his score. Here’s what we come up with as a top 100 prospect look that is a makeshift consensus of the major baseball ranking sources:
