Coming soon. This is the spot where I’ll report on the results of the historical simulation replays I run on Out Of The Park Baseball. I tend to enjoy running “what if?” scenarios rather than straight repeats of major league history. For example, almost all of my sims forsake Jim Crow and include the great Negro League players. I also tend to involve old-time Japanese players as well. OOTP allows you to run multiple leagues side-by-side so occasionally I’ll run worldwide baseball universes and allow players to move freely between them. The idea that players would travel so far for work is anachronistic, but watching Al Spalding of the Honolulu Rainbows outpitch Cap Anson of the Saipan Fighting Irish in the Oceania Baseball League is just too much fun.
